If you have been having trouble viewing the statistics for your website in Facebook’s Insights dashboard you are not alone. Even after successfully setting up Insights for Domain many website owners reported that all statistics were “stuck at zero” despite seeing Facebook likes, share and comments on their content.
Looking into this issue, Facebook has confirmed that the Insights for domains are currently not working for many domains.
Facebook Developer Alex Himmel says:
I apologize to anyone who’s still waiting for insights to appear for a domain
that they have claimed. Currently, they are not appearing for any domains that
had not been shared within facebook.com before late April. We are actively
working to fix this and should have things working within the next few days.
I’ll update this bug when that is the case. Again, I’m sorry it has taken this
long.
As a temporary fix, you can view your site’s stats by clicking on the following link (just change the last part to your own domain)
http://api.facebook.com/restserver.php?method=links.getStats&urls=http://www.yourdomain.com
This will bring up a page of code that includes your likes, shares, comments and clicks in the following section:
